Woman wanted for Carson City burglary arrested, second suspect remains at large
An anonymous tip led Carson City sheriff’s investigators to a Menlo Court second floor apartment Wednesday afternoon where a woman wanted in connection with burglary last week was hiding, a Carson City sheriff’s captain said.
Ciera Scott, 22, was taken into custody in the 2700 block of Menlo Court is a suspect in a Feb. 2 West Washington Street residential burglary, along with Jason Kunz. Numerous firearms were taken from the residence during the burglary.
Kunz remains at large. At this time, Scott faces a felony warrant charge through the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Parole and Probation Division as a probation absconder, said Carson City Sheriff’s Office Capt. Brian Humphrey. More charges are expected.
Four others were also arrested at the apartment for drug and probation violation related charges, said Humphrey.
Carson City authorities have been busy. Earlier Wednesday in a separate incident deputies arrested two people at a Condor Circle home who have been connected to recent commercial burglaries.
