A Carson City man was arrested Friday afternoon at 5:03 p.m. in the area of Fairview Drive and Roop Street for second-offense driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the 24 year-old bartender had been stopped by a Carson City Sheriff's deputy for traveling at twice the speed of a posted 25 mile-per-hour (mph) speed limit, topping at about 50 mph.
Upon making contact with the motorcyclist, law enforcement observed signs of impairment, including a strong odor of alcohol coming from the person.
The suspect consented to a field sobriety test (FST), the report said, which showed signs of impairment. A preliminary breath test (PBT) was also obtained, showing breath alcohol content (BAC) of .155 percent.
