Carson City deputies arrest 21-year-old in road rage shooting incident
On Wednesday, January 24, 2023 at approximately 1540 hours a subject reported his vehicle had been shot at while traveling on I580 in Carson City.
The Carson City Detective Division conducted an investigation into the matter and learned the incident stemmed from road rage.
The victim that reported the incident stated the suspect vehicle, a Nissan sedan, drove next to his vehicle and pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him.
The victim feared he was going to get shot and accelerated away from the Nissan. The victim reported his front passenger window glass imploded and he was hit by the glass causing him injuries to his face and his arm.
The victim realized his vehicle had just been shot at by the Nissan. It was later discovered that Timothy Langley (of Silver Springs, NV) was the suspect driving the Nissan sedan and Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Timothy and quickly located him in Silver Springs, Nevada on January 25, 2024.
Timothy was located by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team and Detectives and placed in custody without incident. Timothy’s vehicle involved in the road rage and the handgun used were recovered as well.
Timothy was later booked into the Carson City Jail for battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm into an occupied moving vehicle.
