Senators basketball recap: Carson clamps Wooster in 58-29 victory
A Senator defensive effort was on full display Friday night in Carson City as Carson blanked the Wooster Colts by a score of 58-29 in boys hoops.

Carson’s pesky defense helped propel the boys team to a double digit lead early in the first quarter (16-2) . Buckets from Abel Carter, Derek Barry, and Dawson Lamb helped contribute to the cause. Trent Robison was a menace defensively, coming up with 4 steals in the process.
Up by as many as 15 points during the second quarter, substitutions were put into place. Junior reserves Khale Goode, Jordan Torres, and Colten Schaffer Helped keep the Colts Offense in check. Giving Carson a commanding 29-6 halftime lead.
The Senators continued their dominance on both ends of the floor, as Carter and Robison capitalized on the countless Wooster mistakes. Making the score 46-15 to end the third. CHS’ youth movement took the floor during the final 8 minutes, capping-off a flawless matchup for Carson.
Postgame, Lamb gave his thoughts on the impressive bounce-back victory.
“This game was really important to us,” he said. “It was key to get back on track and try to make the postseason. Right now, we aren’t in the playoffs, so we progressed tonight and we can build upon it.”
Robison lead all scorers with 13 points (5-7), 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Carter added 12 points (5-11), 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Lamb tallied 11 points (5-9), 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.
With the win, Carson improved to 3-7 in league play and will focus on making a push for the postseason.
