Carson City sheriff’s bookings: Deputies make arrests for DUI, domestics and disorderly conduct

A 19-year-old man was arrested Saturday, 11:54 p.m. in the area of College Parkway and Otha for felony suspicion of being in possession of a stolen vehicle and driving without a driver’s license, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Arrested was Caleb Patrick Demaranville-Massey of Olivhurst, Calif. According to the booking report, Lyon County deputies alerted Carson City deputies of a vehicle that was reported stolen that was coming into Carson City. Deputies pulled behind the vehicle and conducted a felony stop.

An officer spoke with the driver, read him his Miranda warning and was asked how he got the vehicle. He gave versions to his story that were not consistent, saying he took the car to get food a couple days prior and then changing the story that he borrowed the vehicle, a 2004 Honda Civic. Bail: $10,192.

In other bookings:
— A 21-year-old Reno man was arrested Monday, 4:21 a.m. at I-580 near Arrowhead Drive for misdemeanor suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and driving without a driver’s license. Bail: $729.

— A 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 2:32 a.m. in the 1400 block of South Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI. According to the arrest report, the driver was stopped after failing to turn in the proper lane and making erratic lane changes between the first and third lane.

The driver showed signs of impairment and was asked how much he had to drink. The man replied “a couple beers” and stated he had two Coors lights and two Blue Moons. The officer asked if he would participate in field sobriety tests in a parking lot area free of any snow or ice. He showed signs of impairment on the tests and blew a preliminary breath test of .190. Bail: $1,137.

— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 9:40 p.m. in the 6700 block of Saddlehorn Road for misdemeanor suspicion of battery and being in violation of a suspended sentence. According to the arrest report, the suspect struck a male victim in the face during an argument and the victim said during the fight he was kicked in the head.
Deputies arrived at the home and detained the suspect who had an overwhelming odor of alcohol. He was checked through dispatch and it was learned he was on probation through the Department of Alternative Sentencing with a “no alcohol” clause. Bail: $3,137.

— A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 7:15 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Carson Street for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Dec. 23, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.

— A 19-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 5:02 p.m. in the 3400 block of Imperial Way for suspicion of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, the victim told officers the two got into an argument over money. While the two were arguing the woman pushed the male in the chest and threw a cup of water in his face. The woman was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested. Bail: $3,137. `

— A 36-year-old Reno woman as arrested Sunday, 1:51 a.m. in the 3300 block of Airport Road for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. Officers were called to a bar regarding a subject threatening people. The subject was detained. A deputy began collecting statements from the victim and witnesses.

The woman who was on scene began yelling and cussing at deputies and witnesses. She was advised multiple times by multiple deputies to stop interrupting the investigation and to leave the bar. She continued to make comments and was asked if she wanted to make a statement about the incident but she refused.

She continued to yell profanities at deputies and witnesses. She was advised again to stop or she would be placed under arrest. The woman went outside and began yelling at deputies and paramedics on scene. She was asked to leave multiple times and was arrested. Bail: $654.

— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 4:14 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Edmonds for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Dec. 29, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.

A sixteen-year-old Carson City resident is in custody following a gas station robbery Thursday night.

According to Sheriff Ken Furlong, the robbery occurred at an ExtraMile convenience store and involved a knife.
