Local Disabled Veteran Entertains Local Disabled Veterans
David Kotzebue of Carson City, himself a disabled veteran, brought some laughter to the inpatients at the Reno VA Hospital’s Community Living Center over Thanksgiving.
Kotzebue, who performs as Major Fun, brought his fun songs to keep the patients in the right kind of stitches. He was invited to perform after his song, “All My Dates Go Ribbit,” won third place in the National Veterans’ Talent Show.
“Their ribbiting made me hoppy,” he quipped.
“My disability is only a screw in my right ankle,” he said. “To bring some smiles to these veterans missing limbs is a labor of love.”
His Major Fun Show was well-received, so he was invited back for Valentine's Day.
