Bobby Parks Band Gives Free Concert Tonight at The Blue Bull
Tonight Bobby Parks Band, with special opening guest Stig and Nick, kicks off a month of giving with a free weekday concert at The Blue Bull, located at 107 East Telegraph Street in downtown Carson City. The show kicks off at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m., enough time to party, sleep, and get to work in the morning.
Bobby Parks Band is popular for its Red Dirt Country originals and popular country and alt rock covers. The soulful voice of front man Bobby Parks, paired with country guitar, and accompanied by Bassist and backup singer Stig Strong, make for an evening of down home fun, nostalgia and plenty of laughs thanks to Parks ad-hoc audience engagement.
So, what is Red Dirt Country anyway?
Red Dirt is a down and dirty style of music that mixes traditional country music with flavors of alternative rock and funk. Fans of the genre call it “country music with attitude,” and Bobby Parks Band is big on the attitude and the talent it takes to pull it off.
The concert is being offered with no cover and no drink minimum to kick off a month of free shows celebrating the giving nature of the holiday season. RSVP on the event’s Facebook page or just show up. www.facebook.com/bobbyparksband
