Library is the Place for Holiday Giving
Carson City Library is an officially designated place in Carson City to drop-off holiday cheer, in the form of giving, to so many of our area residents in need of a little festive spirit and warmth.
Capital City Circles Initiative: The Capital City Circles Initiative is a collaborative effort between the Carson City community and the human services system to help elevate people out of poverty. Participants in Circles work with Allies (members of the community) to establish goals in the pursuit of eventual self-sufficiency. Patrons may select a gift tag from the Angel Tree, take their tag to the front desk, and return with a wrapped gift. Gifts will be accepted through December 17th.
Toys for Tots:
In partnership with the Ron Wood Family Resource Center: Bring in a new, unwrapped toy in original packaging for area youth and enter a drawing to win six Galaxy Theatre tickets. Consider selecting gifts for boys and girls, 12 years old or older, which is an age group often overlooked.
“Your Knowledge and Discovery Place,” Carson City Library, open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., is located at the corner of Roop and Washington Streets. For more information call 887-2244 or checkout our website at www.carsoncitylibrary.org.
