Annual Joint Breakfast with NNDA, BCDC & Carson Valley Chamber
Northern Nevada Development Authority, Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and Business Council of Douglas County are hosting their annual joint membership breakfast meeting Nov. 8 at the Carson Valley Inn. This year's program will feature two distinctive presenters, each bringing a global perspective to two very important topics - gaming and skiing.
You'll hear from William Eadington, Professor of Economics and Director of the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is an internationally recognized authority on the legalization and regulation of commercial gambling, and has written extensively on issues relating to the economic and social impacts of commercial gaming. He will discuss the state of gaming not only for its impact on Nevada's economy but how gaming around the globe impacts us here at home.
Carl Ribaudo, principal at Strategic Marketing Group and Executive Director of Ski Lake Tahoe, has more than 20 years experience in the travel and tourism industries and leads his firm with the hands-on knowledge of a seasoned professional. Focused specifically on marketing analysis and competitive strategy development, he blends a highly skilled background with an acute awareness of current trends to develop effective solutions. His presentation will guide and lead us into what's happening on the skiing side of tourism and how it will impact the region.
Two dynamic speakers to bring you their vision and insight into two important industries in our community.
