September 19, 2018 - 11:00am One of the most historic events affecting the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) was the proclamation of Sept. 22 as American Business Women’s Day.
Enacted in 1983 by a joint resolution of Congress and the signature of then-President Ronald Reagan, the proclamation recognized all working women.
Thirty-five years later, ABW Day continues to be recognized as a celebration of achievements of businesswomen, members, and the Association.
Maintaining its 14-year tradition, ABWA's Reno Tahoe Express Network (RTEN) is celebrating ABW Day on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 with a fundraising luncheon at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
Proceeds help fund scholarships for women pursuing college educations and members attending professional development certificate programs offered through ABWA's National Leadership Conferences.
