Carson City Historical Society Presents Ice Cream Social on Saturday
The annual CCHS Ice Cream Social is Saturday, August 15, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Foreman-Roberts House Museum, 2107 N. Carson St., Carson City.
Free entertainment will be provided by the Millennium Bugs. The Carson City Historical Society sponsors this event. The event is presented in conjunction with the "Jazz & Beyond - Carson City Music Festival," which runs through August 23.
Enjoy ice cream and other refreshments for only $3. Enjoy Native American artistry and project, and learn about history. Exhibitors will be at the event to discuss and demonstrate beading, "kid craft" (wood building projects for kids with Jim De Magistris), pegboard weaving, pine needle baskets, rug braiding, and long rifle manufacturing (with C.J. Birch).
Original paintings donated by Carson City artists will be raffled off. The winning tickets will be announced at 7:30 p.m.
