Momma Cat and her 6 kittens dumped at Catmandu
It’s kitten season and Catmandu would like to remind cat owners to please be responsible and spay or neuter your pets. There are already far more cats and kittens than homes for them; and the babies just keep coming.
Every year, thousands of kittens are born in our community. Many die, others are abandoned in fields, dumpsters, back alleys, residential areas, or dumped in the desert. Those that survive become feral cats fending for themselves on the streets. They are innocent victims of irresponsible pet owners
This Momma and her six 6-week old kittens were dumped at Catmandu on Thursday July 14th. We are filled to capacity with adoptable kittens, but we were able to find a foster home for this sweet and adorable group. They will be ready for adoption in a couple of weeks and desperately need good homes.
Catmandu is a non-profit cat adoption center and cage-free sanctuary that relies completely on the community for support. Please support the kitties of Catmandu with the purchase of our 2017 Catmandu calendar(s). They make great gifts! Visit our Facebook page at: Catmandu Carson City. To place order call (775) 297-3419 or stop by during business hours, Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., 1829 Brown Street, Carson City, www.CatmanduCC.org.
