Transportation Resource Advisory Forum for Carson City seeks forum applicants
The Carson City Public Works Department is seeking applicants to participate in a public forum which will discuss the maintenance of streets in Carson City.
The Carson City Regional Transportation Commission directed the City’s Transportation Manager to form a group called TRAFCC – Transportation Resource Advisory Forum for Carson City. TRAFCC will meet with city staff in a public forum to discuss street maintenance, traffic, and funding. We believe this is a great opportunity for Carson City residents to learn more about what funds are available and how the use is prioritized. Staff looks forward to providing information and receiving input from residents of Carson City.
TRAFCC will have up to 23 members. 13 of the members will come from various Carson City organizations which will be invited to send a representative. A list of TRAFCC membership is on the last page. The other ten members will be members of the public at large who desire to participate.
A variety of members is sought, including members from each of the four wards of the City. When selecting members from the applicants, the Transportation Manager will attempt to include representatives from each of the four wards of the City.
TRAFCC is expected to hold meetings from June through December of 2016. Meeting dates have not yet been scheduled, but are expected to be scheduled in the evening on weekdays.
There will be agendas for the meetings, they will be open to the public, and will be video recorded (and streamed live via the City’s Website if possible).
Applications will be accepted until May 23rd, but the request for applications may be closed prior to then if sufficient applications are received. Applicants selected for participation will be contacted by the Transportation Division.
