Carson City SWAT Hosts 1st Annual Fundraiser
On Sunday, June 3rd, 2012 at 8:00 AM, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team will be hosting our first annual fundraiser “Zombie Shoot.” The proceeds of the fundraiser will go to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team to assist in the purchasing of emergency and tactical equipment for the unit.
The event will be hosted at the City Range located on Flint Road. The event will consist of a 150-round course simulating a “Zombie Invasion”, geared toward the handgun shooting enthusiast. (The participant will have to provide their own ammunition.) The event will be facilitated by members of the SWAT team and co-sponsored by the Northern Nevada IDPA club. The cost of entry to the shoot is $50.00 with a maximum of 100 participants. Participants are automatically entered to win a Glock pistol. Raffle tickets are available for purchase at the price of $1.00 per ticket or 25 tickets for $20.00. Participation in the event is not required to purchase raffle tickets. Purchase of raffle tickets makes you eligible to win many prizes, up to and including an AR-15 rifle. Food will be available for purchase at the event.
