CASA of Carson City - Information Hour
You are invited to the CASA of Carson City Information Hour, Monday, April 10TH at 5:30 pm. We are located in the Family Court Complex at 1539 E. 5th Street. Drive straight in to the back of the parking lot and you will see our big CASA sign on the door.
You will be able to ask your questions about who CASA Volunteers are and the important service they provide for our community's children in an easy informal gathering. ALL of your questions will be answered. No pressure or obligation, just information.
CASA volunteers are appointed by the Carson City Juvenile Court to serve as Guardian Ad Litem for a case of abused or neglected children in a child welfare court case.
Being a CASA volunteer requires patience, caring, research, writing, speaking and follow-through. A background check, references, application, interview and 30 hours of training are required. CASA volunteers make a difference for very vulnerable children.
For more information see www.casaofcc.org, email CASAofCC@earthlink.net, or call (775) 291-7069.
