Interested in a career working with young children? Carson Douglas Early Childhood Advisory Council hosts employment fair
The situation for many local (and national) child care programs is dire. While many folks are continuing to need child care for their children, or those who are just now heading back to the office, finding child care can be difficult to do. Child care programs, despite their best intentions, are having trouble finding and keeping staff, which means less child care options for families.
Child care is a typically unrecognized support to local economies. Availability of quality child care in our community allows parents to continue their work, which is good for everyone.
The Carson Douglas Early Childhood Advisory Council (CD ECAC) is holding an ECE Employment Fair to help address staff shortages in our communities.
ECE programs from Carson and Douglas Counties will be on hand to meet prospective staff and teachers. BRING YOUR RESUME! Other Early Childhood quality support organizations will also be there to provide participants information on available service in the ECE industry.
The Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada (1870 Russell Way Carson City, has generously provided the Club for this event. Doors open at 12:45 and close at 3:00pm. Please do not call the Club if you have questions. You are welcome to email Tiffany Olivas (tolivas@doe.nv.gov) if you have any questions about the fair.
