Western Nevada Coyotes leave Redding a 2-0 winner
The Coyotes of Western Nevada FC visited Redding Royals FC hoping to start the 2018 UPSL Wild West Conference with a victory. 90 minutes later, the Boys in Blue came out with a 2-0 victory, thanks to goals by Will Nuttall and Anthony Chinchilla.
Will Nuttall opened the scoring in the 17th minute when he knocked home a pass by Pablo Gervacio. This goal would be all that the Coyotes would need, but Anthony Chinchilla made sure the game was out of reach in the 75th minute when he sent the rebound of his own missed penalty kick into the back of the net, doubling the lead.
Coyotes Head Coach Ian Hill said he was really proud of the effort the team put into the game. “They came into a hostile environment, controlled the game from the start, and found ways to find the back of the net.
“They (Redding) were well-prepared for our press,” Hill said. “A slight tactical change at halftime allowed us to lock things down.”
The Coyotes will head back on the road next week when they head to Chico, CA to take on Chico City Rangers FC at 6 pm. A link to the match will be provided on the team Facebook page, located at http://www.facebook.com/westernnevadafutbolclub.
