Al Kramer files for Assembly District 40
The following was submitted by Al Kramer, who filed for Nevada Assembly District 40:
We cannot tax our way to prosperity.
Nevada needs to attract employers with good jobs. The State's business environment needs to be stable with future changes foreseeable.
That means they need to know that lawmakers will not raise taxes on them as soon as they begin to make a profit. The Commerce Tax passed during the last session moves the State in the wrong direction. If we want our children and grand children to live in the area, there must be jobs. We can't get attract the employers we need if we keep increasing taxes.
I am against the Commerce tax, want to see it repealed and will oppose any increases in property or other taxes. I have signed a pledge saying that I will not vote for any increase in taxes. Education funding will have to come from existing revenues or by cuts and shifting of money from one program to another.
