Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell files for re-election
CARSON CITY, Nev. – Carson City’s mayor, Robert “Bob” Crowell, filed for re-election Monday, March 7, at the Carson City County Clerk’s office.
Crowell said Carson City is realizing a momentous achievement 10 years in the making as the city marked the groundbreaking of the downtown corridor and infrastructure improvement project as was approved by the voters in Envision 2006, the Carson City master plan, also on Monday, March 7.
“Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our citizens, Carson City has made some amazing progress over the past several years,” Crowell said. “I am humbled and proud to file for re-election today and to continue serving as mayor of the greatest city in the state of Nevada.”
Crowell is a native Nevadan, born in the mining town of Tonopah and raised in Carson City. An attorney by profession, Crowell is a Vietnam Veteran and retired Navy Captain.
Crowell was elected Mayor of Carson City in 2008 and assumed his duties as Mayor on January 5, 2009. Prior to being elected Mayor, Crowell served 11 years on Carson City School Board of Trustees. He has twice served as School Board president.
