Hollywood screenwriter to hold workshop at Brewery Arts Center March 2
The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1975, is hosting a screen writer’s workshop taught by Carson City’s own Sean Mick.
The workshop will take place Saturday, March 2 in the Brewery Art Center’s 1864 Grand Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sean Mick studied filmmaking, theory and history at Sonoma State University in California, then continued his education through seminars with the top screenwriting "gurus" in Hollywood. His first feature, the action/thriller "Silencer," was released in September 2018 by Status Media and Entertainment.
The workshop will cover many aspects of the screenwriter’s craft: structure, character, dialogue, format, sales, and marketing. Beginners and experienced writes will learn of the tools needed to write a screenplay, increase their skills, and gain new insights into the writing process.
The cost of this outstanding workshop is only $100; $85 for students and $75 for BAC members.
While not required, it is recommended that you have viewed or are familiar with Star Wars Ep. IV: A New Hope (1977), The Karate Kid (1984), and Casablanca (1942).
The Brewery Arts Center is located at 449 W. King Street in Carson City. For further information, contact the BAC at 775-883-1976 or email joey@breweryarts.org.
