Tickets on sale for Proscenium Players' Steve Martin comedy 'The Underpants'
Not since Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction during the Super Bowl’s halftime show have undergarments caused such a national fuss. The Proscenium Players present Steve Martin’s “The Underpants” at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 West King St., Carson City.
Performance dates are Fridays, March 15, 22, and 29 and Saturday, March 16, 23 and 30 at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee March 24 at 2 p.m.
In "The Underpants," actor-writer Martin has turned a 1910 social comedy by Carl Sternheim into a hilarious, over-the-top farce centered on an unruly pair of bloomers. Theobald Maske’s wife, Louise, can’t keep her underpants on. During a parade, her frilly pantaloons accidently fall to her ankles, causing a scandal and setting into motion a zany chain of events.
Tickets are $18 ($15 for PPI/BAC members, students, and seniors 60+) and can be purchased at http://breweryarts.org/, by calling the BAC at (775) 883-1976 or prior to the performances.
