Carson City's Catmandu introduces Cat of the Week: Tinkerbell
Meet Tinkerbell aka “Tink.” This special little girl needs a special home. A pretty little short-haired silver tabby who is just 9 months old, Tink needs someone who is usually home; such as a retiree or a person who works from home. She would welcome a mellow and friendly feline friend, or would be perfectly happy being your one and only.
She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. Tink would not be happy in a home with dogs. When she was only a few weeks old her mom and all her siblings were killed by a dog. She escaped by hiding under a pile of dirty laundry. A patient foster mom spent several months helping her heal from this traumatic beginning. For the first couple of months, Tink just wanted to be held and would cry whenever you put her down.
Little Tink has come a long way since then and has become much more independent. She is still a little timid in new situations or loud environments. Tink would prefer a quiet, adult-only home, without a lot of activity. She likes to play and likes to have people around. She enjoys being petted and becomes very attached to her people. She would not do well in a home where she was alone the majority of the day.
If you might be the perfect people with a quiet loving home for Tink, please come and meet her this weekend at Catmandu, located at 1829 Brown Street. We are open Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please come early to spend time with the kitties.
Catmandu is a local cage-free non-profit cat sanctuary and rescue. At Catmandu we care for an average of 80 cats that would otherwise be roaming the streets of Carson City.
Some cats are adoptable and waiting for forever homes. Others are sanctuary cats who are very skittish with strangers, semi-feral or medically fragile felines; they will live most if not all of their remaining years at Catmandu. All of our cats are spayed/neutered and up to date on their shots.
If you would like to volunteer and/or make a donation, please visit our website at: https://catmanducc.org. We appreciate any help we receive from the community, so we can continue to care for Carson City’s orphaned, homeless and abandoned kitties. Meow means thank you!
