At a church in Philadelphia, a group of eleven women were ordained to the Episcopal priesthood in violation of the constitution and canons of the Episcopal Church — which at the time stated that only men were eligible for ordination. This story is told in a compelling new documentary The Philadelphia Eleven.
Supervisor Schuette to speak at Democratic luncheon

She is currently seeking reelection to another four year term. In addition to her service on the board, Lisa is also a member of the Audit Committee, the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC), the Carson Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), the Board of Health, the Redevelopment Authority, the Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee, and the Parks and Recreation Commission.

Silver Springs, Dayton, and Virginia City Participate in Prescription Drug Take Back April 27

As part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties (HCC), AmeriCorps members with HCC, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Storey County Sheriff’s Office will come together to host drop off locations for unneeded medications in Virginia City, Dayton and Silver Springs.
No needles will be accepted at these sites.
