Empty Bowls Fundraising Event is back in Carson City Dec. 2

Artisans and volunteers have been working hard throughout the year, creating some very special projects to choose as a reminder there are many empty bowls in our community.
Empty Bowls takes place Friday, Dec. 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. inside the Carson Mall.
The cost to attend is a $15 donation which includes a special handmade bowl and dinner.
All proceeds benefit the FISH Food Bank and Family Dining Room in Carson City.

Model train display highlights railroads of the Sierra and Great Basin

The announcement on Facebook says the display is titled "Great Basin and Sierra." It models the high Nevada desert, Sierra and the California foothill trains.
