Headliners Kathleen Dunbar and Steve Barkley will take the stage at the Carson Nugget's Comedy Club, with two Saturday, New Year's Eve shows at 6 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. Brian Lee is the emcee.

Most need items include board games, gift cards, makeup, craft supplies and room decor for teen girls and boys.

The Salvation Army Carson City Corps seeks community help to provide gifts for local children

“We are in particular need of items for teenagers — things like clothes, gift cards, sports equipment, makeup, jewelry and advanced LEGO sets,” said Captain Holly Beeson, Corps Officer for The Salvation Army. “At this point, we do not have enough gifts to distribute at Christmas for these local children.”
Nevada State Police host 'Cram the Cruiser' toy collection event Saturday at Reno headquarters

Nevada State Police troopers and officers will be collecting toy donations for children in need in our community. Refreshments will be provided as troopers attempt to "Cram the Cruiser" with gifts.
GreenUP!, downtown Carson City restaurants host fundraiser for FISH through Christmas, raise awareness on food waste

The charity drive will run from Dec. 15 through Dec. 25.
