Stewart Indian School to host first heritage, culture class: Cooking with nettles

For the first time, the Stewart Indian School Cultural Center and Museum in Carson City will be hosting a heritage and culture class for the community. This inaugural class's topic is Cooking with Nettles.

Nettles are an important traditional food across many indigenous American cultures, and are highly nutritious, high in calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, and Vitamin A.

Family Fun Saturday: Nevada Reptiles at the Nevada State Museum April 15th

Volunteers will be available to answer questions and to help kids in need of assistance with fishing.

Senior Citizens are invited to participate in a free "Oral History Theater Workshop" at Dayton Library. The performance workshop will be based on Senior Citizen's personal stories from their lives. Seniors will share memorable stories from their past and we will transform a selected group of these stories into a theatrical performance.

Carson City Father-Daughter dance nears; tickets going fast as annual event expected to sell out
