The ninth Democratic presidential debate turned out to be the most spirited, as the candidates for two hours at the Paris Las Vegas on Wednesday took turns questioning the others’ policies and credentials to face off in the general election against President Donald Trump.

CARSON CITY — On the heels of an incredibly successful 2019 season and due to popular demand, V&T Railway has begun early ticket sale booking for the 2020 season. Shirlee Leah Boyer Veverka, age 84, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, from complications of Parkinson’s disease, at her daughter’s home in Carson City, Nevada, surrounded by her four children.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in attempting to locate a runaway juvenile, Reuben Angel, 16, last seen on Feb. 4 at a counseling meeting in Carson City.

The Carson City Historical Society will be holding an open house at the Foreman-Roberts House (the Yellow House), 1207 North Carson Street, Carson City this Sunday, Feb. 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. The Foreman-Roberts House and the Carriage House will both be open for tours.

CARSON CITY — A new museum as well as recreation, entertainment and dining opportunities will bloom this spring in Nevada. From the opening of the Stewart Indian School Cultural Center and Museum in Carson City to the debut of new restaurants in Las Vegas, Nevada delivers uncommon experiences this season.

The Carson City Senior Center will be holding Welcome Wednesday Lunches on the third Wednesday of every month beginning February 19, at 10:30 a.m.

Beginning this Wednesday, Feb. 19, the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City is expanding its days of operation.
