A 37-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of domestic battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and prohibited person in possession of a firearm, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

Chapter 7 of Carson City Disabled American Veterans will be holding our monthly meeting at the Carson City Airport on Monday April 15. We will have light refreshments at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting will begin promptly at 6 p.m.

UPDATE: Hannah Nemirow, reported as a runaway was located in Las Vegas and is safe, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office. She will be returning home to her family.

MINDEN – The Safety Consultation and Training Section of the State of Nevada's Division of Industrial Relations recognizes Maxton Manufacturing Company in Minden, Nevada, for the successful renewal of the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). Maxton has consistently earned this recognition since 2013, continuing its legacy of dedication to employee safety and going above and beyond on compliance.

The featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Lisa Schuette, who has held the Ward 4 seat on the Carson City Board of Supervisors since 2021. She is currently seeking reelection to another four year term.
