Carson City Sheriff's Office seeks driver in hit and run crash
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public's help in locating and identifying a driver involved in a hit and run crash that happened Thursday, April 4 around 2:20 p.m. at the roundabout of South Carson Street and South Stewart Street.
The victim vehicle was traveling in the right-hand lane and entered the roundabout next to a silver SUV in the left-hand lane. The Silver SUV merged into the right lane and hit the victim vehicle on the driver’s side, according to a CCSO news release.
The suspect driver did not pull over with the victim vehicle and continued southbound on Carson Street.
Significant damage is noted on the suspect vehicle in traffic camera footage of the front right side of the bumper, the release states.
The suspect vehicle is an unknown silver SUV with a sunroof, and damage to the right side of the front bumper. Traffic camera’s show the vehicle continuing south into Douglas County area, and the license plate is not visible in any camera footage.
