Gov. Steve Sisolak announced late Tuesday that the Nevada Hospital Association was preparing to resume some “medically necessary” elective procedures in the coming days — the first sign that some restrictions put in place to slow the spread of COVID-19 may be eased in the coming weeks.

Quad-County Emergency Operations Center in Carson City is reporting Tuesday, April 28, 2020 that there are 6 new positive cases and 3 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 90, with 34 recoveries and one death, 55 cases remain active.

Gov. Steve Sisolak said he will be unveiling a plan Thursday detailing Nevada’s recovery, a step that’s been anticipated as other states begin reopening their economies.

CARSON CITY — The Aging and Disability Services Division was recently awarded $6,929,262 in grants from the Administration for Community Living as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
