Local author Karen Dustman will give a presentation at Dangberg Historic Park on Carson Valley and it's forgotten tales. This will be based on her third book in a series of stories of Carson Valley and its little and/or unknown history.

Brewery Arts Center, in partnership with Visit Carson City, is excited to be hosting the 2nd Annual Brewery Arts Center’s Holiday Bazaar! We will be hosting an art fair in the Brewery Arts Center Ballroom and Exhibition Hall on Saturday and Sunday, November 9th and 10th, 12 to 4 pm both days.

For Capital City Arts Initiative’s exhibition, "Sierra Watercolor Society Invitational," 18 SWS member artists shared their art presenting a wide array of images, visions, and painting techniques.

The Rising Suns is a Carson City area men’s circle. We gather weekly to share our life stories, challenges, dramas, and traumas in a supportive and judgment-free space. This is authentic men’s work in which we learn to accept ourselves fully.

Miller Counseling is partnering with Douglas Center for Hope and Healing to offer grief support groups to Carson City and the surrounding rural communities Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Miller Counseling and Wellness Center is located at 104 W. Telegraph St. in Carson City.

The Center for Hope and Healing has been providing grief support to Douglas County for the last 10 years. The goal of building this partnership is to make the free support groups available and easier to access to more members of the Northern Nevada community.

Battle Born Progress is having our annual Celebrate Progress! Come celebrate all of the progress that we have accomplished within the past year and come hear what we plan to do to ensure a progressive agenda is being pushed at all levels of government.

Want to learn to sketch? In this class you’ll learn about problem-solving through art, as well as how to draw with instructor Kaleb Wyckoff. Kaboom-Con! Northern Nevada will be hosted on September 7th, 2024, at the Carson City Community Center in Carson City, NV. The event will have almost ten thousand square feet of exhibitor floor space.

There will be Cosplay and Art Contests as well as fabulous raffle prizes. The event will also serve as a fundraiser for multiple local 501(c)3 Non-Profits, including Cold Nose Rescue and Sanctuary, with a portion of the net proceeds going to these fantastic organizations.

Night Off the Streets invites the community to its 2nd annual Summer Party on Saturday, Sept. 7, on the lawn of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. The summer party will raise funds to support NOTS’ warming center operations during the upcoming winter.

Throughout the fall and winter, the Silver City Schoolhouse will be hosting the Roots Music Masters concert series in Silver City.
