Douglas County rodeo returns with bronc riding, barrel racing, bull riding, live music and more
Get ready for an action-packed weekend as the 4th annual Douglas County Rodeo returns Sept. 6-7 at the fairgrounds in Gardnerville, bringing with it all the excitement of the Wild West while supporting a great cause. This year’s rodeo will benefit two non-profit organizations.
Partnership Douglas County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a healthy community through education and resource connection, and the Community Services Foundation, a nonprofit that helps support community centers and senior centers in Douglas County.
“We're thrilled to bring the Douglas County Rodeo back with such an exciting lineup of events and entertainment in support of not just one, but two nonprofit organizations.” Says Bailey Sanchez, owner of DCR. ”The community aspect has always played a huge role as to why we put on DCR every year. We believe in giving back to the community that continues to show up and support us the same way we do.”
Attendees can expect to see rodeo events such as Xtreme bronc riding, barrel racing, bull riding and much more. In addition to the adrenaline-pumping rodeo events, there will also be local vendor pop ups, food trucks, a tattoo convention, and live music from artists such as Jerrod Niemann and Eric Paslay to end your evening. There will also be bounce houses and activities during the day for the entire family.
“We are very excited to see everyone come out for this year's Douglas County Rodeo. It’s becoming a great tradition that brings people together from all walks of life.” Says Justin Schlag, owner of DCR. “ It’s not just about the competitions; it’s about the community, entertainment, and celebrating the love for rodeos. All while supporting two great causes.”
