Music from the Deserts is Santa Fe-based composer, saxophonist, and video artist, Chris Jonas' latest project and album. The project explores music and video created while winter camping in the remote Sonora Desert, including Arizona's Barry Goldwater Missile Range and Trump's Border Wall.

In his paintings, Tom Gilbertson creates a visual imbalance between the central floral image and the industrial overlays. The Capital City Arts Initiative’s exhibition, "Recent Works", presents work by Gilbertson at the Courthouse Gallery. The exhibition began June 5 and runs through Sept. 26, 2024.

The Carson City Democratics has announced open office hours from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. seven days a week through Nov. 6. The office is located at 502 E. John St. Suite G.
