CARSON CITY, Nev. — As I noted earlier this year, one of California’s two Free Fishing Days will be over the Labor Day holiday weekend on Saturday, Sept. 3.
The other Free Fishing Day was back on July 2. You can fish, all day, without a fishing license.
You will be able to fish wherever you like in California, without the need for a fishing license. However, you will need to abide by the rules and regulations that govern whatever water(s) you will be fishing.

RENO- A night after celebration, the Aces looked to be suffering 'post-celebration' effects. They came out against the Fresno Grizzlies on Tuesday night lethargic but the game stayed close. The Aces' starter RHP Kevin Mulvey went 5 innings giving up 5 hits (one of those a homerun) 3 runs with 5 strikeouts and no walks allowed.

Now that the new Carson City Center/Nugget Project plans have answered many of the concerns of critics, one of the last big issues is the 1/8th cent increase in the sales tax to help fund the project.
But that may also be going away, replaced by fees collected from those dumping trash at the Carson City Landfill.

Camel jockeys from as far away as sister city Alice Springs, Australia, are expected, along with local lovers of ostrich feathers and dromedary sweat.
