At age 18 he took on the wilds of the Jungle Cruise as a skipper for the Disneyland Resort cracking jokes on and off the boat. He was selected as a finalist in the Laugh Factorys International Donald Trump Impersonator contest.
Thirsty Thursdays at The Espresso Yourself Cafe

Classes include relaxing guided imagery or meditation to help you make a unique, meaningful, and fun piece of art.
One beverage is included in the price. Canvases, paints, and other supplies are provided (and you are welcome bring in pictures and small items you’d like to add to your art as well.
No experience necessary. All skill levels are welcome.

There is a workshop at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Coincidentally the classic sci-fi movie, Alien, is playing at Galaxy Theater the same times. 18th Annual Snowshoe Thompson Ski & Snowshoe Celebration

Event activities begin with a guided, interactive historical reenactment tour over the snow, starting at 9:00 am with “Snowshoe Thompson” portrayed by Chautauquan Steve Hale. Attendees may bring their own snowshoes and cross country skis, or rent snowshoes from the Lake Tahoe Golf Course at a special price of $15.

They brought with them decades of professional experience playing, recording and touring with many of the biggest names in R&B, Motown, Soul and Funk including the Contours, Carl Carlton, Marvelettes, Rick James, Temptations, Four Tops, Ray Charles, Shotgun, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Freida Payne, Leslie Gore, Miracles, Drifters, Gene Chandler, Flamingos, and many more!

Kathleen Dunbar was the winner of The Las Vegas Comedy Festival and voted Vegas Favorite Comedian. In 2005 the Entertainment Consumers Exchange awarded the Excellence in Entertainment Sunrise Award.
They awarded her again in 2006 and 2007 with the Favorite Comedian award. She has made her mark in Las Vegas and around in casinos and comedy clubs across country. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this comic has Midwest values and ideals.

The 27th annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry returns to historic Virginia City, Nev. on Saturday, March 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each year, more than 7,000 people fill the streets to have some tasty testes prepared by over a dozen cooks all competing to claim the winning title and bragging rights.

The kids of Youth Theater Carson City present a junior adaptation of the musical favorite this weekend and next. The Experimental Aircraft Association hosts ‘Young Eagle’ flights every few months at the Carson Airport to give kids 8 – 17 a plane ride to remember. Help out the Dayton Food Bank during their ‘Stuff-a-Cop-Car’ food drive at the Smith’s in Dayton; unexpired non-perishables of all kinds are appreciated. Read on and see what else the weekend brings.

The monthly downtown wine walk is a great way to catch up with friends after the bustle of the holiday season. The annual Be Bold, Run in the Cold Winter Trail Series offers the Winter Round-up 5 or 10K. If staying active is a resolution, then a brisk run in our hills fits the bill. For something less strenuous, you can join our Parks and Recreation Department for a Winter Wonderland Walk along the Carson River.
