There's nothing like sharing a sunset alongside our wild horses in Carson City on Wednesday night.
In the second photo, "Watch for Horses" a delivery truck had to slow way down when he suddenly saw this stallion crossing the road (to get to the other side where his mares were. No chickens here).

Two of three prisoners who died in Ely State Prison altercation identified

Two of the three offenders killed in Tuesday’s altercation at Ely State Prison have been identified by Nevada Department of Corrections. The third name is being withheld pending notification of family.

Well, Carson City, it's been a while since we've had one of these announcements so at least we can be grateful for that. Unfortunately due to the current wildfires in and surrounding the Sierra, the air quality throughout our region will be affected beginning today, Wednesday, July 31.
