With the goal of ensuring a safe summer on the water at Lake Tahoe, the League to Save Lake Tahoe, Clean Up The Lake and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency recently released a video that delivers tips and resources for boaters and paddlers planning trips to the Big Blue.

We are excited to share our love of quilting, knitting and music! We will display quilts of all kinds — antique, classic and modern quilts while showcasing musical talent. Our quilt group will have a display of quilts in our Fellowship Hall - opening at 12 noon and closing at 4pm.

Presented by Greater Nevada Credit Union, the popular Dragon Lights Festival opens to the public Friday, July 1 at 6:00 p.m. and runs through August 12. The festival will transform the Wilbur D. May Arboretum & Botanical Gardens into an illuminous wonderland during Reno’s mid-summer nights.

During Wednesday's Carson City Planning Commission meeting, a lengthy discussion was held regarding whether or not the commission should recommend to the Board of Supervisors the acceptance of an additional cannabis retail store.
No July 4 holiday lane reductions as part of NDOT Incline Village highway improvements

For easier Fourth of July holiday travel in the Lake Tahoe Basin, no lane closures will take place on State Route 28 and 431 July 1-10 as part of Nevada Department of Transportation Incline Village-area highway improvements.

With California and Nevada once again experiencing severe drought conditions and increased wildfire danger, it’s more important than ever to understand and follow these fire restrictions for the safety of our communities and forests.
