Carson City Classic Cinema Presents "The Jungle Book" (2016)

July 15, 2022 (All day) The Carson City Classic Cinema Club, Garrett Lepire, and Carson City Parks & Rec are once again teaming up to present a schedule of free Summer Outdoor Family Movie Nights at Mills Park (1111 E. William Street, Carson City NV 89701 - near the skate park).
This year, we'll also have some fun pre-show activities and Kona Ice will be at some screenings with their festive music and Hawaiian Ice treats. Bring your favorite chairs, blankets and picnic fare to stake out your space early. Films begin at sunset.

July 2, 2022 - 10:00am The El Dorado National Forest Interpretive Association will be offering TwO Interpretive Hikes on Saturday, July 2. Both hikes are at 10 a.m. and will start on the Carson Pass Information Station on California Highway 88.

The State of Nevada has invested $75 million for free school meals in Nevada schools operating the National School Lunch Program this upcoming academic year. Approved by the Interim Finance Committee on June 21, 2022, American Rescue Plan Act funds will be used to continue pandemic recovery and ensure students have food to eat by providing free school breakfast and lunch.

Nevada law enforcement steps up patrol efforts to crack down on speeders

In 2021, 382 people lost their lives on Nevada roads, up 17.9 percent from 2020. Speeding was one of the top two contributing factors in fatal crashes across the Silver State.
