Grocery Outlet hosts ribbon cutting at new Carson City location

A new, brighter, friendlier, more conveniently located, and well-stocked Grocery Outlet officially opened on February 4 in East Carson City.
As the dignitaries assembled to conduct a formal ribbon cutting event coordinated by the Carson City Chamber of Commerce, the store was already packed with shoppers.

Today, Nevada Assemblyman P.K. O’Neill officially announced that he would seek re-election to his Assembly seat.
O’Neill, a Republican who has served two previous terms, will now seek his third and has been formally endorsed by the Republican Assembly Caucus.
Carson High School Student Earns Award for Designing Carson City Public Works Logo

Carson City Public Works has recognized Tierney Frost, a junior at Carson High School (CHS), with an award for designing the logo that will brand the East William Street Complete Streets Project.

Lyon County to Unveil Donald J. Trump Justice Complex Plaque Saturday

Lyon County will unveil a plaque renaming the Lyon County Justice Complex to the Donald J. Trump Justice Complex on 2/5/2022 at 3:30 PM.
A short ceremony will be held at the facility located at 911 Harvey Way in Yerington.
Parents may determine whether or not their children wear masks in Carson City Schools beginning Tuesday

Effective Tuesday, February 8, 2022, parents may determine if their student will wear a mask or face covering while in schools within the Carson City School District.
In accordance with Emergency Directive 048, masks will be provided for all students and adults who utilize school transportation.
Furthermore, in accordance with the directive, employees, volunteers and visitors will continue to wear masks or face coverings while indoor school facilities.
Douglas County Board of County Commissioners Extends Invitation to Religious or Civic Organizations to Lead Invocations
