Four Weddings and an Elvis is coming to the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City! The Proscenium Players, Inc. is performing the hilarious 4-part comedy, written by Nancy Frick.

Show dates are February 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th at 7:30 p.m. and February 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th and 2:00 p.m.

The play centers in a small Las Vegas wedding chapel that is host to some quirky characters in their outlandish nuptials.

Carson City School District Temporarily Limits Transportation Services Monday and Tuesday

We are thankful for families and students who continue to exercise patience and kindness amid persistent staffing shortages.

Families should plan to transport student(s) to and from school Monday and Tuesday, January 24 and 25, 2022.

Buses will continue to operate for students with IEP’s (Individual Education Plans) specifically noting transportation needs.

Carson City School District responds to Parent Complaints over Short Notice of Limited Bus Services

As a school district, we provide 1) as much information to 2) as many people 3) as soon as it is possible. When we make tough decisions like closing schools or limiting transportation services, we understand the impact and inconvenience families experience.

It is not something we take lightly. We know how difficult it can be to arrange rides, babysitters or daycare.

This is an open letter to Governor Sisolak, the Board of Prison Commissioners, the Director Nevada Department of Corrections and the general public of Nevada.

Traffic accident reported at E. Washington and N. Walsh

At 2:38 p.m. a vehicle crash was reported in the area of E. Washington and N. Walsh.

Two vehicles are involved. No injuries are reported.

The vehicles are currently blocking traffic. Deputies are enroute to the scene.

Motorists should seek alternate routes.

Historical Coin Press No. 1 at the Nevada State Museum, Carson City, has resumed demonstrations Saturdays in January and February, with the minting of a commemorative medallion honoring Western explorer John C. Fremont.

Vehicle crash reported near Carson City Nugget on Robinson

A vehicle crash involving two vehicles was reported just before 12:30 in the area of the Carson City Nugget near Robinson Street.

Deputies are working to clear to the roadway currently and traffic should be opened back up soon.

No injuries are reported.

Motorists should seek alternate routes until the roadway reopens.
