The Carson City Farmer’s Market 2021 season is quickly drawing to a close. The market began June 5 after switching from the Third Street parking lot to the parking area behind the Carson Nugget, 412 N. Stewart Street, which allowed for the largest farmer’s market yet.
Carson City School Foundation raises nearly $17K for Jump Start textbooks through donations

The Carson City Schools Foundation, in support of the Carson City School District, is pleased to announce its "Sponsor a Student" for Western Nevada College Jump Start College program raised nearly $17,000 for textbooks and other necessary materials for high school Jump Start students.
NHP investigates crash Saturday in Churchill County that killed California resident

The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified a California resident who died in a Sept. 4 vehicle incident involving a commercial vehicle on I-80 in Churchill County near Jessup.

Carson City Fire Department called to fire Tuesday night at landfill

Carson City Fire Department responded Tuesday night to a fire at the Carson City landfill off of Flint Drive across from Highway 50 East. It is the second fire at the city dump in a week.

CARSON CITY — U.S. Representative Mark Amodei (NV-02) on Tuesday presented the Nevada State Museum with a 2021 Commemorative Morgan Dollar, in honor of the Carson City Mint and the 100th anniversary of the last Morgan Dollar minted.
Carson City Sheriff's Office seeks identity of suspects who stole alcohol at private event

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance with identifying and locating two unidentified men who, on Sept. 4, 2021 at around 9 p.m., stole a bottle of alcohol from a female bartender.
