Today, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak announced that he will be issuing an Emergency Directive lifting restrictions on youth and adult sports and adjusting the COVID-19 statewide guidance on sports.

Finalized data from the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) show initial claims for unemployment insurance (UI) totaled 7,525 for the week ending September 26, down 673
claims, or 8.2 percent, compared to last week’s total of 8,198 claims. This is the lowest weekly total of initial claims filed since mid-March.
Carson City deputies arrest man for punching deputy, running after giving false identification, allegedly exposing himself

A transient man was arrested by Carson City deputies Thursday for battery on a peace officer, resisting arrest, and providing false identification to avoid prosecution.

November 7, 2020 (All day) Sierra Lutheran High School will host the 3rd Annual Christ is Christmas Craft Fair Saturday, Nov. 7, on the SLHS campus from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The school will be strategically using outdoor and indoor space on its 34-acre campus to promote the kickoff to the Christmas shopping season within social distancing guidelines.
