Carson City School District responds to statewide closure, details to be unveiled soon

Sisolak, after consulting with local and state agencies and officials, has decided all school in Nevada will be closed starting Monday, March 16, through Friday, April 3. With this direction, All Carson City School District schools will be closed for three weeks starting Monday, March 16.
Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada to close in footstep with statewide school closures

We will be following the guidance of our state government and closing our doors for the same time period to protect our Club members and our community.

Spring ahead Northern Nevada gardeners by preparing soil now

Our native soils are low in organic matter due to low rainfall amounts. In addition, they are more alkaline than soils rich in organic matter. The alkalinity of a soil often interferes with micronutrient availability causing nutrient deficiencies in plants. The good news is that by adding organic matter, our soils can support healthy plants and yield good harvests.

CASI's March 26 Understanding Your Pet's Behavior presentation to be postponed

We plan on bringing Kelley back April 30 for a seminar titled "Why Does My Dog Do That" and continue the series with a different topic each month through October.
