September 27, 2019 - 9:00am Ameriwade Liquidations of Carson City is doing final preparations for the grand opening of a Liquidation Outlet at 3579 Highway 50 E., Suite 207 in Carson City. Initial sale dates are Sept. 27-29, 2019 in the industrial park next to Classy Seconds and across from the Goodwill.
Carson City emergency crews called to crash at Roop and William

The crash happened at around 3:15 p.m. Traffic is being diverted around the crash. Motorists can expect delays.
Carson City Library recognizes Banned Books Week with letter-writing campaign

Have you read a banned book lately? Chances are, even if it was on your high school literature class reading list, you have read a book that somebody somewhere wanted to ban.
Along with libraries across the country, the Carson City Library is celebrating Banned Books Week (Sept. 22-28) with a special event to thank authors whose work has been prohibited or challenged.

The Lake Tahoe Basin Fall Prescribed Fire Program may begin as early as Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, under the management of the Tahoe Fire and Fuels Team, which includes local, state and federal fire and land management agencies.
