National Night Out, film classic at BAC, fitness events and more Tuesday around Carson City

This is an event like no other, where agencies who work in areas of public health and safety gather at Mills Park to meet with Carson City residents. This event features 3 hours of information booths, games, demonstrations, food and fun. Also happening Tuesday is a free robotics mini-camp for kids in nearby Silver City, Reciprocity Inc. will host a fundraiser at Rustically Divine, there's the Culinary Traveler’s Club's Polynesian Paradise featured at Bleu Café; the Carson City Classic Cinema Club will feature a Sci-Fi favorite at the BAC, plus fitness outings and more. If you're a skilled artist or a novice, bring your sketchbook out to Kings Canyon and learn different techniques to be able to portray your the natural environment into a visual art.
Bring your own sketchbook and drawing utensil if you have it, but we will also have paper and pens for folks as well. Please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and bring plenty of water & sun protection. See you there!

Phenomenal Eruption: Millions of butterflies swarm Lake Tahoe

The entire Lake Tahoe Basin is in the midst of a massive swarm of the winged beauties, especially in the Angora Fire burn area and along the east shore.

The salon will be collecting donations of school supplies and ask that everyone bring something so we can divide them between the schools here in Carson City.
