March 4, 2018 - 3:00pm The Capital City Community Band will be performing its annual “A Salute to Young Musicians” free concert on Sunday, March 4 at 3 p.m. in the amphitheater at the Bob Boldrick Theater of the Carson City Community Center, 851 East William Street in Carson City.

March 12, 2017 - 3:00pm Under the direction of Richard Doede, the Capital City Community Band will perform its annual “A Salute to Young Musicians” concert with two choirs from Carson City, Fritsch Elementary School with Nicole Melsheimer, Conductor and Mark Twain Elementary School with Christina Bourne, Conductor, and the Carson High School Clarinet Choir.

Carson Valley’s brightest celebration of the holiday season will take to the streets during the 17th Annual Parade of Lights on Saturday, December 1st, beginning at 5 p.m. Residents and visitors will line Highway 395 between Gilman Avenue in Gardnerville and Minden Town Park to watch dozens of colorfully decorated floats.
