Temperatures are expected to actually lower toward the end of the week. Events around town Tuesday include a Muscle Powered walk, hike and bike ride, yoga, exercises for the mind and body hosted by the Carson City Emblem Club, political gatherings, art activities and more.

That's the question as we head into a forecast high Tuesday in the low 90s, give or take a few degrees. Don't sweat as our good friends at Muscle Powered have morning and evening walks and a bicycle ride happening before and after the heat sets in. Plus there's local talks about history, addiction and wellness; a yoga class for those with arthritis, a family viewing of the classic basketball fantasy movie "Space Jam" at the Carson City Library and a whole lot more. Heading into Tuesday, May 28, 2019 there's sunshine in our midst or so says weather forecasters. We're looking at highs in the upper 60s. On tap for the day we have morning and evening walks, a bicycle ride for ladies, an archery shoot at Centennial Park, a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser in Gardnerville to support Special Olympics, a meeting of the Carson City school board and more.

Is the persistent series of cold weather systems normal or not? We spoke with a forecaster from the National Weather Service about it and he noted that everyone has an opinion. Some folks swear this happens every Spring, storm after relentless storm through the entire month of May. Some swear the month of May in western Nevada is usually sunny, in the upper 70s to low 80s and comfortable. Whichever you believe, go with it and enjoy. Here's what's ahead Tuesday:
