The local forecast for the region is good, with temps in the low 90s for the next 6 days, with afternoon breezes picking up.

Nevada Ranks Low Among States For Federal Subsidies Paid To Farmers, Ranchers

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (www.ndow.org) reports: The road is open, but there is still a LOT of snow around the lake. The lake is about 80% ice covered with some fishable water. Unfortunately, there is enough snow on the ice, you can't tell what is safe and what isn't. With this week's warm temps and some wind, next weekend may be a different story.
