Free West Coast Swing beginners lesson offered at Brewery Arts Center in Carson City
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 04/08/2022 - 3:00pmHigh Sierra Swing Dance Club is again offering a free beginners class before their monthly social dance April 23rd, Brewery Arts Center, 449 W King St, upstairs ballroom.
The beginners class is at 5:30pm, it is followed by an intermediate class at 6:30pm, and a social dance at 7:30pm.

Today's Easy Walk is the Annual Art Tour, visiting eight galleries and exhibits downtown. If you can't join them on this excursion, just grab the new art walk map at the Carson Visitor's Center to make sure you don't miss anyone. Today also marks the beginning of the Nevada Day Treasure Hunt, an annual tradition that has history buffs and Nevada aficionados combing the grounds for the lucky medallion. It’s a great opportunity to explore one of our incredible cultural resources. The Children’s Museum of Carson City hosts a special ‘Step Up For Kids’ event with free admission sponsored by the Children’s Cabinet: it’s a perfect time to learn what resources are offered. Canyon White is one of the area’s favorite singer/songwriters. Enjoy her tunes and some great food tonight as Living the Good Life goes acoustic.

Beginning West Coast Swing dance lessons
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 01/19/2015 - 9:08pmBeginning West Coast Swing dance lessons are now offered by Tim Renner at El Charro Avita on Tuesday nights 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. No partner is necessary and lessons are on a drop-in basis for $8. Come learn to dance in a casual, friendly, non-judgmental setting while making new friends and exercising.
Intermediate Lessons are available Mondays at El Charro Avita from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. for $8, followed by the High Sierra Swing Dance Club's club night out at seven o'clock.
