Carson City Chamber of Commerce Leadership Graduates unveil 2020 Project with ribbon cutting, graduation

Yesterday's graduation was held at the trailhead of the Foothill Trail.

Jim Barcellos of University Nevada Cooperative Extension leads his popular interactive science activity on Tuesday, July 9 from 10 to noon at the Silver City School House, 385 High Street. The activity is free and all children ages 8-12, with their parents, are invited to attend.

Participants will use thermometers and observe whether heat is created or extinguished. The experiment will also help them learn about Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Comstock Town Offers Free Summer Events for All Ages

This summer, events include a free family-friendly concert by Kantu Inka, visits from award-winning visiting artists and writers, kids science and engineering activities, plus a floral design class, a coding workshop, lectures and more for adults and teens.

Come dressed in historic costume (optional), enjoy hors d'oeuvres and refreshments and celebrate life as it was on the Comstock. Your participation will support the Historic Fourth Ward School built in 1876. Our four storied, Victorian Era, Second Empire, wood school building is the only one in existence in the United States, the “Last-One-Standing.”
